Non-Fiction Writing (For students entering Years 10-11)

This session will focus on the key skills required for successful non-fiction writing. 

At GCSE, students are assessed on their ability to deliver writing consistently focused on purpose and audience, in a range of formats such as articles, letters and speeches.

This session will introduce students to the core elements of successful non-fiction, and students will have the opportunity to develop some of their own writing.

Fiction Writing (For students entering Years 10-11)

This session will focus on the key skills required for fiction writing. 

At GCSE, students are required to be able to write either a story or a piece of extended descriptive writing.

This session will introduce students to the core elements of successful fiction, and students will have the opportunity to develop some of their own writing.

Time: 2pm – 4pm
