Supporting SEN students
Charis is a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor who has a great deal of teaching experience, particularly with 7+, 11+ and SEN students. She has held various roles within the education system, from being a classroom assistant, to a learning support assistant, to a primary school Maths teacher, meaning she is well equipped to work with students of different ages and abilities. Charis has a BSc in Psychology from London South Bank University and is currently studying for a BSc in Mathematics from the Open University.
Having tutored students who are studying for the 7+ and 11+, as well as those studying for their GCSEs, Charis has a clear passion for teaching and is very motivated in what she does. Parents have noted her patience and unique approach to tutoring, whereby she “includes the children’s interest into her teaching”, thereby enhancing her lessons and making the subject more compelling.
Charis’ success rate at 11+ includes both successful applicants and scholarships at a range of schools including Haileybury and Highgate.
Charis is very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive.
