Since achieving qualified teacher status in 2016, after studying for a Secondary Science PGCE at the Institute of Education, Horia has taught in local schools in London and she also spent a year teaching in an international school in the UAE. Horia is a knowledgeable science teacher, who also has vast experience tutoring children from GCSE to A-Level. Before completing her PGCE, Horia worked as a teaching assistant in various schools for three years and learned valuable teaching skills in supporting children who were struggling with maths, English and science.
In addition to her teaching experience, Horia has an interest in biology and she achieved second class honours in her Biomedical Sciences degree from Kings’ College London in 2015. Horia also speaks various languages and she can fluently speak both Dari and Arabic. Referees and testimonials note how Horia “can tutor brilliantly up to A level standard” and her current employers said, “I cannot fault her ability as a teacher”.
