After completing an MPharm degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007, Joel studies for a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham and gained QTS status from University College London, via the Schools Direct course. Joel has taught science in various London secondary schools since graduating as a teacher in 2018, and he has experience working with groups of undergraduate students. Joel also has an excellent subject knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics and he has led professional conferences on various scientific subjects.
Joel’s passion and enthusiasm for science are reflected in his professional work and he has been published in several academic papers since 2010, having worked as a medical writer and supervisor at different universities. Referees and testimonials praise Joel’s ‘clear enthusiasm for science’ and his ability ‘to clearly put across complex ideas’ when teaching students.
So far so good. Only had a handful of lessons with Joel but my son really likes him and he is helping to receive positive results.
