Since graduating as an Outstanding teacher through the Schools Direct programme in 2017, Joseph has taught in various locations, including London and Brazil. Recently, Joseph worked at The British College of Brazil in São Paulo, where he taught all primary school subjects to students with varying grasps of the English language. Joseph ensured all pupils made progress across the academic year and effectively planned lessons and schemes of learning so all his students achieved their goals by the end of the year.
As part of his teaching philosophy, Joseph strives to nurture a passion for reading and writing in all pupils through thoughtful, open discussion and engaging activities. He is also familiar with Pie Corbett’s initiative ‘Talk for Writing’, which can be used to support children with a variety of learning needs. Referees and testimonials note how Joseph “is very focused on the progress of the pupils in his class” and he is also a “strong class teacher with a good knowledge of the curriculum.”
Joe can support students across the Primary curriculum, and also works with students sitting exams at both 11+ and 13+.
