BA Geography PGCE Secondary Geography
4 years of teaching
After completing a Geography degree at Durham University, Megan gained qualified teacher status by studying for a PGCE at the Institute of Education in 2017. Since qualifying as a Secondary Geography teacher, Megan gained experience teaching all age groups from year 7 to year 13. She also has an excellent knowledge of the main exam boards and their exam requirements, including Edexcel and AQA. In addition to her work with secondary school pupils, Megan also spent time working in a local primary school before starting her PGCE and she can tutor primary pupils for 11+ preparation.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Megan has also taken on additional roles at her school, helping A-Level students prepare UCAS applications, and mentoring year 11 students in a pastoral role. Due to her experience, Megan has built relationships with a number of pupils and their parents and many testimonials and reviews have been positive about her tutoring work. One former colleague explained that Megan is ‘wholeheartedly committed to helping her pupils succeed.’.
