After graduating from the University of Oxford in 2018 in French and Italian, Miranda trained as a Modern Foreign Languages secondary teacher through the Teach First course at Northumbria University. Since achieving qualified teacher status, Miranda has gained experience teaching French to all secondary ages, up to A-Level, and English Literature and Language to Key Stage 3 pupils. While she was working towards her PGCE qualification, Miranda worked as a translator for an international charity working towards ending human rights.

Miranda has a passion for tutoring Modern Foreign Languages. She is fluent in English, French and Italian and she can also speak a little Russian. Outside of her teaching career, Miranda has several hobbies including playing the clarinet, violin and saxophone to grade 8. She also has an interest in drama and played Miranda in an adaptation of the Tempest at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Referees and testimonials note how Miranda is “a dedicated teacher” who “has excellent subject knowledge”.
