During his 20 years career in education, Piers has taught in a range of local schools and has supported children at all levels from Key Stage One to A-Level. In addition to his experience as a classroom teacher, Piers has held many leadership and senior management positions, including Head of Year and Head of Upper School. Alongside his in-school career, Piers tutors pupils who are studying for 11+ and specialises in the primary sector. He currently works as a Key Stage 2 teacher in a local independent school that prepares children specifically for the 11+ exams.
Piers likes to use a blend of traditional and innovative techniques in his sessions to help his pupils achieve to the best of their abilities. When he is not teaching, Piers enjoys a range of activities including football and cricket and running. He also has a passion for gardening and likes to spend time outdoors whenever possible. Referees and testimonials note how Piers is “an organised and efficient teacher” who is “well-liked and respected by the children he teaches”.
I would highly recommend him as a tutor to anyone. Piers is so supportive and explains everything in an easy to understand way.
