Ruben is a highly experienced secondary Maths and Economics tutor. He has taught GCSE and A-level students in tutoring and teaching roles over the past 12 years and he takes pride in improving the grades and outcomes for pupils. Ruben has been an Economics examiner for AQA, OCR and Edexcel since 2008. He was also an Edexcel examiner for core mathematics in 2009. Ruben has taken additional responsibility in his role as a secondary economics tutor and introduced e-learning methods to his department and he led the Duke of Edinburgh Award in a previous role.
Ruben likes to make educational content in Economics and maths both accessible and engaging for his students. As a result, he has a good track record of improving attainment in challenging teaching environments. A former employer described Ruben as “hardworking, reliable and honest.” and highlighted his “keen interest in the welfare and academic progress of all his students”
