Since qualifying as a History teacher, Deborah has worked in various secondary schools in London, teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level students. In addition to her work as a classroom teacher, Deborah has also tutored many secondary students, supporting them with differentiated activities, tailor-made resources to suit their level and skills-specific support. As a History enthusiast, Deborah aims to inspire her students to develop a lifelong interest in the subject, whilst also teaching a range of transferable skills.
Deborah has a bespoke tutoring style that is unique to the individual students she teaches. In addition to secondary History subjects, Deborah also teaches further topics, including debating skills and the study of fun and unique historical criminal cases. Referees and testimonials are very positive about Deborah’s teaching skills. One former colleague explained how she ‘is very well prepared, extremely knowledgeable and has a great deal of empathy when her students.’
