Testing & Assessment

With student well-being at the heart of everything we do, we are proud to provide extensive guidance in related educational areas. With our personalised and student-centred approach, we can help you to explore a range of additional opportunities.

Academic Profiling Test (APT)

For students aged 6-16, we’re delighted to be able to offer access to the APT which provides a comprehensive assessment of a child’s academic skills. This 2-hour, adaptive online test covers the four key areas of English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Developed in conjunction with Atom Learning, the APT is a useful indication of where a child sits in relation to their peers in a UK private school and can be used to demonstrate performance to prospective schools.

It is also useful practice for similar tests used by school admissions such as UKiset, ISEB Pre-test or 11+ entrance exams.

The assessment is followed by a 30-minute feedback session with a qualified member of our team to interpret and explain results and discuss next steps; whether this be admission to a particular school or college, additional tuition in areas highlighted, or feedback in the approach to exams.

11+ Assessment

In addition to the APT, we can also offer a ‘softer’ approach to assessment, in which one of our specialist 11+ tutors can come to your home and conduct an assessment in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, before offering guidance on which schools may suit your child. This assessment is not driven by hard data but is tailored to individual families, providing guidance and advice to make informed decisions about secondary options.
