21 years of tutoring
Liz has successfully taught in both the state and independent sectors and was appointed Second in Department, Head of GCSE, KS3 development and Numeracy at her last school. As a school teacher she has taught Mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13 and as a tutor has prepared students for 11+, 13+, GCSE, A level, IB and University Engineering examinations. She has also worked with students in KS1 and KS2 where additional support or challenge was required and has been tutoring for 21 years. Liz has experience with the Edexcel, AQA, OCR, MEI and IB examination boards and was previously selected as a “Leading Mathematics Teacher” in Hertfordshire, through which she worked in a small team providing innovation and improvements to the teaching of Mathematics for the whole county.
In her spare time Liz looks after her four rescue dogs with whom she enjoys long walks. She plays tennis and XBox and is a keen gardener. She is currently learning Spanish and also loves singing and holidays in the sunshine abroad. Current clients say that Liz makes her explanations of complex Maths “very clear”, and she is “personable” and “flexible”
