Since qualifying as a secondary maths teacher from the Institute of Education, Liz has worked in a variety of local schools and taught classes from years 7 up to year 13 in her 21-year teaching career. At previous schools, Liz held several senior roles including Second in Maths Department, Head of GCSE, KS3 Head of Development and Numeracy. As a result, she has an excellent understanding of the Edexcel, AQA, OCR, MEI and IB exam boards. Liz has also worked in independent schools and has helped to prepare children for the 11+ exams in previous roles.
T Liz has a passion for tutoring and a proven track record to support children with their maths learning from primary school to A-Levels. Liz is always calm, patient and adaptable in her approach to tutoring and she likes to bring a sense of humour to her sessions too. She also respects the individuality of each student, as well as their differing needs and learning styles. Some of Liz’s hobbies outside of teaching include looking after rescue dogs, tennis, gardening and travel; she has also started to learn Spanish recently.
